Turning a house into a home

With specialized training, business experience, and a deep commitment to understanding the needs of my clients, I’ve learned that real estate is far more than just selling homes. It’s about listening to my clients, understanding their goals, and finding solutions that lead to Win-Win outcomes. Whether it’s navigating market conditions, solving problems, or ensuring a smooth transaction, my focus is on delivering satisfaction and happiness. At the end of it all, I want a smile on your face.

I grew up in Clear Lake, moved to Ames to attend Iowa State University, and have made this community my home. My husband, Omar, is a developer and partner at SB&A Architects in Ames, and together we’ve built both our careers and our family here in wonderful central Iowa. I’ve always loved real estate and that passion was ignited when buying our first investment property in 1997. Since then I have gained hands-on experience in everything from foreclosures and house flipping to property management and home staging.

Before becoming a Realtor, I spent 19 years in sales and marketing with Clear Channel Radio (now iHeartRadio), building strong connections in the local business community. That was a rewarding chapter of life. This experience has been invaluable in my real estate career, where I put those connections and skills to work for my clients every day.

My husband and I are blessed with three wonderful children: Alex, Austin, and Bailey, who is currently attending ISU. And several dogs throughout our life. Alex and his wife, Gina, have recently given us the joy of a new grandbaby. We feel so fortunate that our children live nearby. With their growing independence, I was finally able to pursue my passion for real estate, becoming a Realtor in 2017.

Faith in God is central to everything I do. I strive to live with honesty, integrity, and gratitude, and I believe my purpose in life is to serve others—whether through real estate or in my personal life. These values guide me every day, both in my work and in how I interact with my clients and community.

Outside of real estate, I’m passionate about the Iowa State Cyclones, spending time at our lake home, and enjoying all that "lake life" offers: boating, fishing, ATVing, snowmobiling and especially hosting family and friends. I have fond memories of friends at Gilbert and Ames and years spent cheering for our kids's sporting events. My greatest joy is spending time with my loved ones.
